The Acer Liquid (S100) made history as the first Android smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, bringing high-end performance to the platform in 2009. It features a sharp 3.5-inch WVGA display, which was class-leading at the time. Running initially on Android 1.6 Donut (upgradable to 2.2 Froyo), it introduced a unique notification system with LEDs on the top edge of the device.
