One of the most iconic phones of the late 90s, famous for its 'Easy' interface and emergency AAA battery support.
The Alcatel OT Easy db (Dual Band), released in 1999, is one of the most recognizable handsets from the early GSM era. Designed with a focus on simplicity and personality, it came in a wide array of bright colors. Its most famous feature was the 'battery versatility'—while it shipped with a rechargeable NiMH pack, users could swap it for three standard AAA alkaline batteries in a pinch, making it incredibly reliable for travelers. It featured a basic monochrome display, a pull-out antenna for better reception, and a robust, chunky design that was both comfortable to hold and highly durable. It supported SMS and was a pioneer in making mobile technology accessible to the mass market.
