Ericsson T36

A cancelled, pioneering prototype mobile phone intended to introduce Bluetooth wireless technology, high-speed data, and a flip-cover form factor.

The Ericsson T36 is a famous prototype and cancelled 2G candybar phone that was intended to be the first mobile phone with built-in Bluetooth and tri-band GSM capability. Though it was shelved in favor of the finalized Ericsson T39, its innovative design set the standard for Ericsson's early 2000s models. It features an active flip cover, WAP browser support, high-speed data transfer (HSCSD), and an Infrared port.
