Samsung's first venture into metallic design, offering a super-slim profile and a high-end 4K camera in a compact body.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha marked a turning point in Samsung's design philosophy, introducing a premium metal frame that set the stage for the Galaxy A and S series. At just 6.7mm thick and weighing only 115g, it remains one of the lightest and thinnest smartphones ever made. It features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display that, despite its 720p resolution, offers vibrant colors and excellent sunlight legibility. Under the hood, it’s powered by the 20nm Exynos 5430 Octa-core processor, providing flagship-level performance for its era. The 12MP rear camera was a pioneer, supporting 4K video recording outside of the main flagship lines. It also includes luxury features of its time, such as a heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner, all packed into a pocket-friendly, elegant chassis.
