The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is the ruggedized sibling of the standard Galaxy S5, designed to withstand harsh environments. It features a shock-resistant casing that meets MIL-STD-810G military standards, alongside an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Unlike the standard model, the Active replaces touch-sensitive navigation buttons with physical keys for better reliability in wet or gloved conditions. It also features a dedicated 'Activity Zone' button for quick access to outdoor tools like the compass, barometer, and stopwatch. Under the hood, it retains the high-performance Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM. The 16MP camera is capable of 4K video recording, and the removable 2800mAh battery supports long days in the field. While it loses the fingerprint scanner, it keeps the heart rate sensor for fitness tracking.
