The Sharp 703SH was released alongside the flagship 903SH as a more compact, pocket-friendly 3G alternative for Vodafone users. While it lacked the optical zoom of its larger sibling, it still boasted a high-quality 2.0-inch Mobile ASV LCD, ensuring excellent color reproduction and viewing angles. The device features a 1.3-megapixel CMOS camera, a secondary internal camera for video calls, and a miniSD card slot for expandable storage. Its balanced feature set and variety of vibrant color options made it one of the most popular 3G clamshells in both Japan and Europe during the mid-2000s.
