An incremental update to the iconic GX10, adding Java support and improved software to a classic flip design.
The Sharp GX10i was an updated version of the original GX10, one of the first camera phones to hit the European market via Vodafone. While aesthetically identical to its predecessor, the 'i' version brought essential software improvements, most notably Java (J2ME) support, which opened the door to a wider library of mobile games and applications. It retained the sturdy clamshell build, the built-in VGA camera with a close-up mode switch, and the dual-screen setup that made it a favorite in early 2003. Its reliable performance and ease of use made it a staple of the early mobile imaging era.
