A premium swiveling widescreen phone that brings the AQUOS TV experience to a mobile form factor.
The Sharp SX862 is a high-end feature phone famously released for the Hong Kong market via SmarTone-Vodafone. It is a rebadged version of the Japanese 920SH, featuring the iconic 'Cycloid' swivel mechanism that allows the 3.2-inch display to rotate 90 degrees into a 16:9 widescreen landscape mode. This was specifically designed for an immersive video and mobile TV viewing experience, utilizing Sharp's proprietary Mobile Advanced Super View technology for a 160-degree viewing angle. The device also features a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with a high-intensity LED and supports HSPA 3.6Mbit/s for fast web browsing on its high-resolution WVGA screen.
